Sue Holmes. 9th. December 2016.

Sue’s cancer - renal cell carcinoma - was largely controlled in the last 6 years of her life by some truly amazing drugs. Sutent, and later Axitinib very cleverly stopped the flow of blood to her tumours, preventing them from growing. We made the most of those years and lived life to the full, together and with friends and family. The development of these clever drugs was the direct result of funding to Cancer Research UK and other charities. Quite probably all of you reading this will have donated to cancer charities over the years. Thank you. But I am now going to ask you to give more. Most especially I am asking those of you who are going to actively support my Please Stop Smoking campaign. If, or rather when, you manage to stop, please donate. If you support a loved one’s efforts, and succeed, please donate together.
